Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums (CAZA) is a Canadian organization of zoological institutions that share values and experience in areas such as animal welfare, conservation and education. CAZA members must meet standards that demonstrate the quality of their practices as well as their involvement in animal care and the preservation of natural environments. The Zoo sauvage de Saint-Félicien has been a proud member of the CAZA for more than twenty years, demonstrating its commitment to its residents as well as to their wild congeners.
The World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) is an international organization overseeing the many regional associations such as CAZA, AZA (in the United States) and EAZA (in Europe). WAZA ensures that the various associations meet high standards of animal care, conservation and education, and offers its members a global network of expertise. Since July 2022, the Zoo sauvage de Saint-Félicien is an institutional member of WAZA, a great proof of its involvement.
