Reproduction
Pairs for life at 4 years. Mating and egg laying occur between April and early June. The 5-6 eggs are incubated by the female for 33-37 days. The young fledge after 100-120 days.
Predators
Eggs and/or young may be taken by large birds of prey, coyote and mink.
