Diet
Herbivorous, feeding on herbaceous plants, moss, lichen, leaves and twigs.
Lifespan
Around 20 years in the wild.
Reproduction
The female is sexually mature at 3 years old and the male at 5 years old. Mating takes place between late July and early September. Every two years, a single calf is born after an approximate 8 ½ month gestation period and is weaned after 1 year.
