Diet
Herbivorous, feeding especially on grasses, aquatic plants, seeds and fruits and sometimes on insects and other aquatic organisms.
Lifespan
Approximately 10 years in the wild.
Reproduction
From the age of 2 years old, mating and egg laying take place between April and June. The female incubates 3 to 8 eggs for 28 to 30 days. The goslings’ first flight takes place 50 to 60 days later.
